Rory Bryan Estis
April 18, 1962 - February 7, 2022
Rory Bryan Estis, also affectionately known as “Ice Man,” “No. 1 Son,” “Dad,” and “Pops,” passed on February 7, 2022, to be with his son, Blake Estis. He was born at Carraway Hospital in Birmingham, AL, on April 18, 1962, to Roy Gene Estis and LaCretia Negron Estis. Bryan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Theron and Elizabeth Estis and Leon and Ruth Negron; his father, Roy Gene Estis; and his sister, Lisa Estis. Bryan is survived by his mother, LaCretia Estis; daughter, Rori Sayward Estis; grandson, Killian Estis; and mother of his children and life-long best friend, Carla Estis Murphree, and spouse, Eddie Murphree. As well as his sisters, Tracie Anderson and Monique Glenn, along with his special aunts, Kathy Goode and Shelly Murphy. We also lovingly note his first and oldest friend and cousin, Brent Murphy and Regina Murphy. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends. Bryan was a man of few words, so we like to fill in the gaps, as always. In order of importance, he spent his life loving his family, Alabama football, and sunsets. He enjoyed chasing golf balls, reciting Seinfeld and Joe Dirt quotes, blissful beach trips with his family, and was always enamored by new technology. All we have left to say is, “ Daaaaaannnnnggg, Bryan, we are going to miss you.” Summer of George and Roll Tide FOREVER. On Sunday, February 13, a viewing will be held at Gardendale Heritage Funeral Home, with visitation open to the public from twelve to two pm with service to directly follow. In lieu of flowers, Bryan would have loved for a donation to be made to his beloved grandson Killian’s college fund (LINK TO BE INCLUDED.)
