J.B. McCreless

October 14, 1932 - December 7, 2021

J.B. McCreless, age 89, of Gardendale, Al. passed away December 7, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. J.B. served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War, and he also worked for Sears Roebuck Company with 37 years. He was a devoted and loving husband and father to his wife and children. One of his passions was playing golf and he was in many golfing tournaments. He had numerous friends who he loved playing golf with, many of whom have already passed on. J.B. and his wife, Lorene of 68 years lived a very happy and content life together. J.B. is survived by his wife Lorene and his children; Terrie Green, Clifford (Shaun), Carla Terrell, Jennie Lee (Steve), Lori (Joe), his two brothers James E. McCreless and Hoyt McCreless and also his many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous friends and extended family. A celebration of J.B.’s life will be held at 1:30 pm Friday from the chapel at Gardendale Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm till 1:30 pm at Gardendale Heritage Funeral Home. J.B. will be laid to rest at Walkers Chapel cemetery following services.
